On June 8th, Dr. Hanjing Tian, associate professor of West Virginia University and also researcher of National Energy Technology Laboratory of the US Department of Energy, visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC) and gave an academic report titled “Development of Chemical looping Combustion Technology: From Atomic Oxygen Carrier Design to Circulating Fluidized Bed Engineering Demonstration” .

From May 14th to May 30th 2018, Pakistan experts visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS (GIEC) to carry out the project “Basic research and capacity investigation for distributed bioenergy utilization via thermo-chemical conversion”, which is jointly undertaken by GIEC and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Pakistan. A progress meeting was also held during the visit. The two sides have in-depth discussion about the research progresses achieved, the problems confronted and future work as planned.

On August 14 , Dr . Saiful Huque , professor of Renewable Energy from Institute of Energy , Dhaka University ( IE , DU ) came to visit Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion , CAS ( GIEC ) . ？ Prof . Haibin Li , vice president of GIEC .Exploring the possibility of staff and postgraduate student exchanges for research and training purposes , etc . ？ ？ After the meeting , Dr . Saiful Huque visited the Solar Energy Lab .

On April 11-15 , the 2016 annual meeting of International Electrotechnical Commission/Technical Committees 114 ( IEC/TC114 ) Marine energy-Wave , Tidal and Other Water Current Converters was held in Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion ( GIEC ) .Experts visited the South China Sea Island Standalone Renewable Energy System and observed the work of 100kW Sharp Eagle wave energy device " Wanshan " in real sea states .Foreign experts highly appraised the Eagle wave energy technology .
