On Dec. 3, at the invitation of CAS Key laboratory of Renewable Energy and Gas Hydrate, Mr. Renugopalakrishnan, a famous professor from both Center for Renewable Energy Technologies of Northeastern University of USA and Children Hospital of Harvard University, visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion. An academic lecture titled “Protein Biosensitized Solar Cells” was given, in which a kind of solar cell with protein as sensitizer was introduced.
　 After the lecture, Pro. Renugopalakrishnan had an academic exchange with Pro. Nengyou, Wu, associate director of Key Laboratory and other researchers. Meanwhile, both sides explored the possibility of future cooperation.
　 Pro. Renugopalakrishnan has been doing research on biochemistry and Bionanotechnology for years with more than 240 papers published so far. He is also an editor-in-chief of the Journal of Bionanoscience and associate editor of Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.
