About
CUI Yanbin obtained his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2019 under supervision of Prof. John Atkinson, and received his postdoctoral training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with Prof. Shannon Stahl, from 2019 to 2022. He joined GIEC at 2022 and his research interests mainly focus on the development of upstream catalytic conversion and downstream separation technologies for high-value utilization of biomass. This includes: 1) Catalytic conversion for lignin depolymerization and related reaction mechanism research; 2) Design of continuous reactors for the biomass upgrading and process scale-up; 3) Separation and purification of value-added products, such as aromatic monomer, organic acid, fuel additives. In past 5 years, he published over 40 research papers and co-authored one book chapter, and received over 1,200 citations.
