Dr. Matthias Hack, Scientific Counselor of German Embassy in China Paid a Visit to GIEC

  On 23rd July, Dr. Matthias Hack, the Scientific Counselor and Dr. Boyu ZHANG, the Scientific Assistant of German Embassy in China, paid a visit to Guangzhou Institute of Energy (GIEC), Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Zhouyu ZHOU, Director of Science & Technology Division of GIEC gave a warm welcome. Drs. Lei MIAO, Lingzhi ZHANG, Xueqing XU and Congwei WANG of GIEC attended the reception.

  Dr. Zhouyu ZHOU gave the visitors a brief introduction to GIEC and the research progress in the fields of renewable energy, new energy, environmental protection and energy saving at GIEC. Drs. Lingzhi ZHANG and Xueqing XU respectively introduced the development and international cooperation of solar energy materials research and organic materials research. Dr. Matthias Hack show great interest in the present research of GIEC, and have a discussion mainly focusing on the application of new energy and achievement transformation with the hosts, and also introduced the experience of Germany. After Discussion, the guests visited the solar energy laboratory.

  Through this visit, both sides have enhanced mutual understanding and laid a good foundation for future cooperation.
