On Nov. 18, Pro. Julian Allwood, Director of the Low Carbon and Materials Processing Group, Cambridge University, visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC). Dr. Ma Longlong, vice director of GIEC warmly welcomed the distinguished guest. 
　 During the conversation, Dr. Ma gave an all-around introduction in the beginning about the research work being carried on in GIEC and the technical accomplishments have been researched. Pro. Julian Allwood showed great interest to the GIEC’s research work in the field of low-carbon economy and energy strategy. In the meantime, He also gave a relevant introduction about the research progress that has been made in those two areas in Cambridge University. Both sides exchanged views and reached consensus about low-carbon construction. After conversation, Pro. Julian Allwood visited Energy Strategy Laboratory.
