In order to further strengthen the transformation of research results, Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC) applied and eventually successfully obtained engineering consulting qualification certificate with level Ⅲ, which is issued by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The process of organization and application was completed through Guangdong Provincial Association of Engineering Consultants.

The specialties of the certificate obtained by GIEC covers ecological construction, environment engineering and new energy. GIEC, with the engineering consulting qualification, could thus office the services as follows: planning consultation, preparation of project proposal and feasibility studies report, project application report, application report for fund, assessment consulting, engineering design, bidding agent, project supervision, and project management.

So far, GIEC is the only branch in Chinese Academy of Science system that obtained the certificate mentioned above. From now on, GIEC could start to provide the relevant services listed above to enterprises.
