2010 Combustion Conference of Chinese Society for Engineering Thermophysic, as well as progress exchange of combustion projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), was held on Dec. 4-6, in Guangzhou. Around 550 representatives from nearly 60 universities and research institutes took part in the conference.
At the opening ceremony, Academician Xu Janzhong, Pro. Zheng Chuguang (Huazhong University of Science and Technology), Pro. Huang Zheng (Shanghai Jiao Tong University), Pro. Zhao Daiqing (Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion) delivered keynote speech, respectively.
340 papers were selected strictly and presented in the six separate sessions of the conference in two and half days, which reflected the recent development and research progress of the combustion engineering thermophysics. In the meantime, 130 combustion projects funded in 2008 and 2009 by NSFC were reported in poster session; among of them, 10 projects were presented orally.
Successful holding of the conference plays very important role in promoting academic communication within researches who engage in the combustion research, further improving the platform for basic research and proposing clear development directions. Moreover, the conference provided a great deal of information about priority funding fields of NSFC, key scientific issues and etc.
