Japan Professor Visits GIEC for “Introducing Foreign Intelligence in Guangdong” Project
Professor Miura Takashi from the department of chemical engineering of Tohoku University, Japan, visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC) from Dec.26 to 29,2010, and presented a lecture with title “waster treatment technology and system in Japan”.
Miura Takashi’s visit to GIEC is part of the arrangement of the project “introducing foreign intelligence in Guangdong province” which is undertaken by GIEC.
The purpose of the project is, by introducing Japan’s experience and technology advantage, to shorten the process of technology development and transformation, thus accelerate the development of waste treatment technology in Guangdong province.
Professor Miura Takashi’s lecture mainly includes seven parts: waste treatment status and policy specification in Japan, current technologies and development trend, detection and control of particular harmful pollutants, response of Japanese people and government to the construction of waste treatment plants and the dealing measures, safety issues, strategies to eliminate the negative impress of waste treatment industry in people, development of circling society.
Meanwhile, Professor Miura Takashi spent whole afternoon on Dec. 27 with the researches and students from Laboratory of Advanced Combustion of GIEC on discussing the technological difficulties arising in the research.
He also took a field trip to the pilot plant of GIEC in Boluo, visited waste pyrolysis and gasfication equipment and pilot system of DME from biomass, and looked around Likeng waste incineration power plant in Guangzhou as well.
Professor Miura Takashi is also the director of Numerical Analysis Laboratory of Chemical and Environmental Protection Center of Tohoku University. This visit to GIEC built solid foundation for the successful completion of the project.
