On Nov. 7th, 2011, prof. Bank Charles from University of Southampton, UK visited GIEC and delivered an academic report. He is the cooperative partner for 7th EU Framework Programme named “EU-China Cooperation for Liquid Fuels from Biomass Pyrolysis”.

Based on the framework agreement, prof. Bank Charles had a face-to-face discussion with academic backbones and young staff from the biomass team in GIEC. He introduced the research progesses made abroad in the fields of microalgae culturing, food and kitchen garbage fermentation, and the impact exerted by microelements on the food waste biogas fermentation. Prof. Zhenhong Yuan from GIEC introduced to him the general condition of biochemical conversion laboratory. The two parties showed intense interest in the research topic and had an in-depth discussion with each other.
