Professor Shihong Zhan from Yuan Ze University of Taiwan Visits GIEC
Professor Shihong Zhan from Yuan Ze University of Taiwan visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion and delivered an excellent academic report on Nov. 24th, 2011.
With the theme of “Fuel Cell and Progress in the Research of Renewable Energy Utilization”, prof. Zhan introduced fuel cells’ industrial application status in Japan, South Korea, and United States, etc, and analyzed factors that would exert impact on the development of fuel cell and renewable energy research. In particular, prof. Zhan elaborated fuel cell’s industrial development in Taiwan and the progresses achieved by Yuan Ze University in this field. Some key problems arised in fuel cell R&D were also summarized in the report.
Then prof. Zhan had a face-to-face meeting with academic backbones of GIEC and conducted an in-depth exchange of views about the topics interest both parties as well as possibilities for future cooperation. Afterwards, prof. Zhan visited the biomass catalytic conversion laboratory, organic energy materials laboratory and solar energy materials laboratory of GIEC.
