On March 28th, led by the chief representative Mr. Wei Yuan, the delegation from Beijing Office of US Energy Foundation visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS.

Consultation and discussions were carried out between the delegation and the Energy Strategy Center of GIEC on research progresses of the project funded by the Energy Foundation and undertaken by GIEC. Prof. Daiqing Zhao, vice president of GIEC, gave a general introduction of progresses and also problems facing the project. The two parties conducted heated discussion on how to solve the problems, striving for better instructiveness and practicablity of the research outcomes. The delegation from the US Energy Foundation expressed their willingness to further provide financial and talent support so as to promote low-carbon development in Guangdong Province.

At the end, the two parties exchanged views on future cooperation areas and formed an initial memorandum.
