Lin Jianzhi, the professor of the Institute of Environment, Energy and Sustainability (IEES) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Pro.Yu Jimei, Pro.Chen Yongqin, Pro.Zhong Zhijie, Dr. Xu Yuan paid a visit to Guangzhou Institute of Energy(GIEC) on Apr.25  2012. Wang Jiyang, the academician of Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Pro. Zhao daiqing and Pro. Wu Nengyou, the deputy directors of GIEC warmly received visitors.

In conversazione, Lin Jianzhi introduced the situation and research achievements of IEES, WU Nengyou outlined a comprehensive about the research situation of GIEC.

Both sides discussed and exchanged views of directions and areas of future possible cooperation, including new materials, geothermal energy, energy strategy and climate change. Both achieved the mutual recognition about the huge space and the great potential of cooperation.

This exchange established the link between GIEC and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and laid a good foundation for future research cooperation.
