Prof. TanemuraSakae paid a visit to Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion(GIEC) at the framework of "Chinese Academy of Sciences Visiting Professorship for Senior International Scientists" on May 9, 2012.

Prof. TanemuraSakae was the executive director of Japan Fine Ceramics Centre (JFCC)and the director of materials engineering&nano-structural labs. He had done research on the solar energy materials from 1974 and got a lot of achievements.

Prof. TanemuraSakae gived a presentation for young scientists and graduate students. The presentaton consisted of 3 parts. The first part was about nanotechnologies (nano-tech), which tried to explain why scientists were attracted to nano-tech so much from the history of nano-tech and the unique characteristics of nano-materials.The second and the third part introducedthe world premier research accomplishments related with Li battery & H intercalated alloy by the advanced TEM in JFCC.The audience had a heated discussion with Prof. TanemuraSakae in the end of report.
