On Aug. 13th, Prof. David T. Wu from Colorado School of Mines Hydrate Research Center visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS (GIEC).

Prof. Wu Nengyou, vice director of GIEC extended warmly welcome and briefly introduced the overall condition of GIEC and its gas hydrate research center. Prof. David T. Wu delivered an excellent report, covering the fluxion safety of natural gas hydrate in pipelines, surface effect between liquid droplets, and formation &decomposition simulation of natural gas hydrate in porous medium. Dr. Li Dongliang and Dr. Tang Cuiping from GIEC also presented reports on gas hydrate properties and its fluxion safety.

The visit facilitates exchanges and cooperation between Colorado School of Mines and GIEC on the research field of natural gas hydrate, and holds great significance for promoting collaboration and bilateral exchanges of people.
