Renowned professor Martin J Attrill, director of the Marine Institute at the University of Plymouth, and commercial director Adam Corney paid a visit to GuangZhou Institute of Energy Conversion(GIEC) on Oct.18.

In conversazione, professor Nengyou Wu, deputy director of GIEC warmly received visitors and briefly introduced the institutional organization, discipline construction, and recent research progress of GIEC. Professor Martin J Attrill gave a situation of University of Plymouth and research fields, research centers of Marine Institute ,especially introduced research programmes related to waves center project which is performing by Marine Institute. Mr.Adam Corney introduced main instruments and main functions of southwest marine energy park. Professor Yage You of GIEC introduced research progress of wave power devices in GIEC. Both parties conducted in-depth discussion with each other.

 After meeting, Pro.Martin J Attrill and Mr.Adam Corney visited the marine energy laboratory of GIEC. Pro.Yage You introduced operation principle of hawking wave power device designed by GIEC, Pro.Martin J Attrill and Mr.Adam Corney showed great interest in this device.
