During Nov.12th-18th, Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS (GIEC) held a Short-term Training Course for Fluid Migration Numerical Simulation. This course is an important part of the work we do to fulfilthe Innovative Team International Partnership Program in“Natural Gas Hydrate Storage and Exploitation”. Prof. Xu Wenyue from U.S. Schlumberger was invited to be the lecturer of the training course, attacting 53 young researchers and postgraduate students from 8 different institutes and universities to attend the course.

In the course, Prof. Xu Wenyue exquisitely elaborated the following four aspects: scientific thinking, numerical simulation rationale, numerical simulation construction, and application examples, all of which were drawn from his long-term research experiences.
