September 2nd -3rd, 2013, a delegation of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion led by Dr. XU Jingliang visited Korea University to carry out academic exchange.

During the visit, the two sides jointly held “The 3rd KU and GIEC Joint Symposium on Lignocellulosic BioFuel”. GIEC experts introduced their latest research progresses in cellulose fuel alcohol, synthesis gas fermentation, cellulase enzyme hydrolysis dynamics and micro-algae energy utilization. Prof. Sung OK Han and other research fellows from Korea University also introduced their latest research outcomes. The two sides had an in-depth discussion.

This visit is part of an international project between GIEC and Korea University, and Korea University delegation is supposed to pay a return visit to GIEC in mid-November.
