At invitation of Guang Zhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC), Xiaotao Bi, the professor of the University of British Columbia(UBC) paid a visit to GIEC on  May.23  2014.  

During this visit, Xiaotao Bi was appointed as visiting fellow of GIEC. Longlong Ma, the party secretary of GIEC, Yinglin Yu, the director of personnel, and Pro.Changfeng Yan attended the ceremony for appointment. At the ceremony, Pro.Changfeng Yan introduced the situation and research achievements of  Pro.Xiaotao Bi,  Longlong Ma issued visting fellow certificate for Xiaotao Bi. 

After ceremony, Pro.Xiaotao Bi made a presentation titled “Carbon Footprint of Canadian Wood Pellets” and held lively exchanges with students.
