The10th Cross-Strait Forum on climate change and sustainable energy development
The tenth “Cross-Strait Forum on climate change and sustainable energy development” was held in China University of Mining & Technology (Xuzhou) from September 12th to September 15th.More than 110 experts and scholars, including 14 members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and 27 guests from Taiwan, attended the meeting.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Dr. Peng Suping from CAE. The Vice-president of CAE Dr. Xie kechang and the President of Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy Dr. Jian Youxin gave an opening speech and made a report respectively during the meeting.
Dr. Chen Yong, a researcher of GIEC and a member of CAE, made a keynote report on “the present situation and prospect of urban mines development”, which introduced the present situation、the importance of urban mines and some pressing problems raised during the development, meanwhile, went deeply into the direction and major field of future technology、management、mode and so on. This report was well received by the participants and they held in-depth discussions with Dr. Chen Yong after the meeting.
