In order to encourage scientific personnel of GIEC to make more efforts in technology transfer of scientific achievements and help them to interpret the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Promoting the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievement (2015 Amendment) that was issued and implemented on October 1, 2015, GIEC organized a training course on technology transfer of scientific achievement on April 11, 2016. More than 60 scientific staffs participated in training.

Prof. Li Haibin, deputy director of GIEC, delivered welcome address. Then, Dr. Zhang Jiejun, from Ministry of science and technology policy, regulation and supervision of law and intellectual property office, interpreted and analyzed the new policy on evaluation system of technology transfer, scientific achievement disposal, and distribution of earnings. Prof. Lin Geng, technical market development consulting expert of Torch center of Ministry of science and technology, introduced pros and cons of patent licensing, assignment of the patent right, technology investment, start a company etc., and offering advices on commercial contract sign between scientific researchers with entrepreneurs as well.

This successful training activity helps to push forward technology transfer of scientific achievement of GIEC.
