Dutch Energy Innovation Mission Visits GIEC
On the morning of March 24, a Dutch energy innovation delegation visited the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC), Chinese Academy of Sciences. The delegation consisted of 22 representatives from the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, the Embassy of the Netherlands in China, as well as multiple Dutch energy companies and research institutions.
Sun Yongming, Deputy Director-General of GIEC, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that China and the Netherlands share both common ground and unique strengths in their pursuit of energy transition, laying a solid foundation for deeper collaboration. Efstathios Andreou, Consul General of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, and Rutger van der Leeuw, CEO of Enexis, expressed strong interest in advancing cooperation with China in green technologies and looking forward to expanding collaboration in energy innovation through this visit.
The delegation first visited the V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) demonstration station at GIEC, gaining first-hand insight into the practical application of EV-grid interaction technologies. Following the site visit, the two sides engaged in in-depth technical exchanges and discussions on topics including EV-grid interaction and hydrogen-based new power systems.
Both sides expressed their commitment to leveraging this exchange as an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding, establish connections, and explore cooperation in the field of energy innovation, working together to advance the development of low-carbon technologies.
