“Research on the mechanism of energy efficient clean utilization of flammable solid waste” is a national project. A kick-off meeting for its branch 1 “High-valued pretreatment modulation and head pollution control mechanism of flammable solid waste” was held in Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC) on Dec.14.

In the meeting, the assignment distribution and its working plan were completed. Four sub-projects were nailed down, which are “Pretreatment modulation and optimization mechanism study and components characteristics study of flammable solid waste”, “Clean modulation and pollution control study of fuse salt”, “Emission prediction model study in energy utilization of flammable solid waste” and “Pollutant beneficition and interaction study and head pollution control mechanism study of flammable solid waste”, corresponding persons in charge the sub-project are YUAN Haoran (Integrated research and development center), ZHAO Zengli (Laboratory of waste treatment and utilization technologies)，WANG Xiaohan (Advanced combustion laboratory), MA Xiaoqian (South China University of Technology).

The project leader CHEN Yong, director and deputy director of GIEC WU Chuangzhi and ZHAO Daiqing and professor MA Xiaoqian and LU Jidong from SCUT took part in the meeting.
