The Spring Symposium of NSFC-JST Project is convened in Guangdong
On March 19th, spring symposium of the NSFC-JST project named “Basic Researches on Ecological and Efficient City Solid Waste Combustion, Pyrolysis, and Gasification Technologies” was convened in Huizhou, Guangdong.
Prof. Yong Chen, president of CAS Guangzhou Branch, hosted the symposium, during which Prof. Daiqing Zhao, vise president of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS, also presented a speech. Experts from China and Japan delivered reports on progresses in the project research and conducted heated discussion with each other. In the end, group leaders of both sides, Prof. Hong Yao from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Prof. Naruse Ichiro from Nagoya University, respectively summarized research progresses on each side and exchanged ideas on the work plan of next phase as well as the date for the next symposium.
On March 20th, Prof. Naruse Ichiro from Nagoya University and Prof. AOKI Hideyuki from Tohoku University visited Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, CAS. They delivered excellent academic reports on topics of “Recent Incineration Technologies in Japan”and “Recent Research Introduction in Aoki Laboratory”, introducing progresses in analog simulation software development in industry as well as the latest solid waste combustion technology in Japan.
Furthermore, the delegation also paid a visit to GIEC Boluo Pilot-plant Base, Huizhou Sludge Treatment Plant and Likeng Garbage Incineration Power Plant.
