On Sep. 28th, the Guangdong Provincial International Project “Joint Research&Application Demonstration of Producing DME Synthesisly Through Biomass Gasification ” which was undertaken by Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion (GIEC) passed acceptance inspection. Prof. Ma Longlong, Party Secretary of GIEC, Prof. Wu Nengyou, Deputy Director of GIEC and project members participated in the meeting.

The project was officially initiated from 2010, focusing on researches in biomass gasification technology in fluidized bed, the crude syngas catalytic reforming purification and component modulation technology and device, and biomass syngas DME technology and catalysts. The project is quite fruitful, establishing a 50-ton pilot plant which synthesisly produces DME through biomass gasification, formulating standards of designing unit productive technology and device for biomass liquid fuel preparation, facilitating the market promotion of the technology of biomass gasification to DME both internationally and domestically, thus expanding our international influence in biomass research and application.
